Our Coaching Mission & Values

Precision One is a personal training facility and membership gym in Stoke-on-Trent. The gym facility provides members with the opportunity to access a close-knit community where people can feel comfortable and confident in exercise.

Because of its personal training roots and their desire to deliver the highest standard of exercise experience to their clients, the Precision One gym has been purposely equipped with the finest quality of exercise equipment from brands such as Nautilus and Cybex: enabling all members to perform their exercises safely and efficiently.

P1Coaching

Precision One is always operated under the supervision of its experienced personal trainers: they can be on-hand, outside their personal training commitments, to guide and advise you on your journey so that you feel valued and supported as a member.

We offer a range of membership options, including the option to pay monthly and corporate gym memberships.

What is the gym’s address?

Our gym is located inside Tollgate Hotel and Leisure. The address for our location is Ripon Road, Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent, ST33BS. To locate the gym, enter through the hotel’s main reception and head through to the end of the corridor: you will find us on your left. Please ask the receptionist if you’re unsure.

How do I sign-up for a gym membership?

To sign up for a gym membership, please enter through the ‘Sign-Up’ button on our website. It will ask you to register and agree to our terms. Once completed, you will be redirected to our ‘Club Right’ app homepage where you’ll be able to view our membership options.

Do you offer inductions?

Yes, we do. We are committed to ensuring that all our members feel confident and are well-skilled in using our exercise environment. Induction slots can be booked via our gym’s ‘Club Right app’. Be sure to book in advance since we limit numbers so that we can offer more personalised support to those who attend.

Is personal training included in my membership?

No, personal training with our trainers is a completely separate service. If you are interested in personal training, please either enter through the ‘Sign-Up’ option on our website and complete the enquiry form attached, or speak to a member of staff in-person.

Do you have changing room, toilets and shower facilities?

Yes, we have separate changing facilities for males and females - both are equipped with showers and lockers. Our members also have access to the toilet facilities which are a shared communal area with the Tollgate Hotel.

Do you have a referral scheme for current gym members?

Yes, we do! As a small business, we really do value those who go out of their way to promote our services. For this reason, gym members referring their friend will receive a £2 monthly discount from their membership and their friend will receive a £1 discount on their monthly membership (this will last for as long as both members remain with the gym). You can refer a friend as many times as you like, and could end up not having to pay any cost for your gym membership as a result! To activate this referral reward, you will need the person (who you referred) to complete their sign-up to the gym and to email us at precision1coaching@gmail.com stating your name. We will then update both your membership accounts so that you will receive your monthly discount.

Do you offer any gym membership discounts?

Yes, we do. We have discounts that include: blue light members; students; and corporate. These discounts can only be applied for in-person when speaking to a member of staff. Please have proof of your identity/discount (e.g., BLC) so that we can approve your membership immediately.

Do you offer classes?

At this current moment, we do not. Because we are primarily a personal training company, it means that our personal trainers are busy working alongside their clients. In time - if the demand is there, we might offer small group exercise sessions that work on a 4:1 / 6:1 ratio of member to personal trainer.

Is there parking on-site?

There is a large car park located on site. We share this car park with the guests of the Tollgate Hotel since our gym is located within the hotel’s leisure centre.

How do I cancel my membership?

To cancel your membership, you must send your notice in writing to the gym’s director. This can be emailed to precision1coaching@gmail.com . Upon receiving your written request to cancel your membership, we will send a letter/email of acknowledgement. If, however, you do not receive this, you must assume that we have not received your cancellation of notice. Please note, if you sign-up to any of our contractual memberships, you must continue to make the appropriate payments until you have reached the end of this agreed period (except in exceptional circumstances: please see our terms and conditions).

How do I freeze my membership?

You may temporarily suspend your gym membership payments (see our terms and conditions for further information and who applies) for a period between 1 and 12 complete calendar months. To freeze your membership, you will need to send a written request to the gym’s director (precision1coaching@gmail.com) and you will likely be asked for some proof of your situation. For further information, please see our terms and conditions.

What is the minimum age requirement to join?

Anyone aged 16 or over is able to join our gym. For anyone under the age of 18, however, we request written consent from the person’s parents/guardians and the person must attend an induction with one of our staff before they can use the gym alone.

What is Club Right?

Club Right is an external company who we work with to help manage our gym memberships and payments. The software provides you with ability to sign-up, as well as access our booking system and member resources.

What equipment do you offer?

We have sourced some of the finest gym equipment that the industry has to offer. Because of our personal training roots, we wanted to ensure that we could offer the best exercise experience to our clients and members. We have plenty of selectorised strength machines from the reputable brands of Nautilus, Cybex, and Keiser Fitness; we have available cardiovascular machines that include treadmills, cross-trainer, Watt Bike, and a rowing machine; we have an open space upstairs in our facility that has conditioning equipment such as battle ropes, prowler sled, slam balls, and the like; we have 4 resistance cable training systems; and a well-equipped free weights area that includes dumbbells (from 1kg to 50kg), a squat rack with multiple barbells, Olympic weight plates, and a smith machine.

How do I check-in on entry to the gym?

As a member, you must check-in and out of our gym so that we can keep our members safe and have an understanding of how many members are in our gym at any one time. To check-in, you should access your profile on our ‘Club Right’ app, click your member QR code on your app’s profile page and scan in at the gym’s front desk. Upon exit, you should repeat this process. For those who would prefer a membership card, we do offer the option to buy one for £2. You will need to speak to a member of staff if you wish to do so.
